A solid wood wall shelf paired with American-made matte black steel L brackets, built for the jobs a floating shelf can't handle. Built by hand in Brooklyn from high-quality solid hardwood. The brackets are cut and powder-coated from 1/4" thick, 2" wide US steel, with a matte black finish. Each bracket holds roughly 100 lbs when mounted into studs. Install them under the shelf for a classic exposed-bracket look, or flip them so the leg sits behind the shelf for a more minimal, near-floating profile.
The exposed bracket system carries significantly more weight than a hidden-bracket floating shelf, so the deeper footprint isn't just for show.
